Overview
If you are a finance professional who wants to solidify his skills about the details of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), this qualification has a fast and efficient solution to meet your needs. The diploma course at "Synergy" is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of IFRS. You will also learn how to apply them, as well as the concepts and principles which underpin them.

Objective
On completion of this diploma, you will be able to:
• understand and explain the structure of the framework of international accounting,
• apply relevant financial reporting standards to key elements of financial reports,
• identify and apply disclosure requirements for companies in financial reports and notes, and 
• prepare group financial statements (excluding group cash-flow statements) including subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures.

Candidates
If you are a professional accountant or auditor who works in practice or business, and are qualified according to national accounting standards, then you are eligible to take this ACCA financial reporting qualification. Typical candidates apply for this certificate are:

  • Accounting and financial managers,
  • Internal and External auditors, and 
  • Professionals seeking advanced.

Exam

Exam
DipIFR is a single (one time) three-hour written (paper based) exam.

Score
You will need to achieve a 50 per cent mark or above to successfully complete the paper. 

Window
The exam is held twice a year - in June and December at ACCA's exam centres.

Venue
Kuwait.

Prerequisite
You will need to prove that you have one of the following:
• three years' relevant accounting experience (by submitting a letter from your employer)
• a relevant degree plus two years' work experience
• an ACCA Certificate in International Financial Reporting plus two years' work experience.
